Our Mission

We believe that Christ came to establish God’s Kingdom (Matt. 4:17), truly accomplishing that work with His death and resurrection (Matt. 28:18; Dan. 7:14). Today He reigns over all the nations from Heaven (Ps. 110; Heb. 1:3; Heb. 10:12-13) as the great Ruler over the kings of the earth (Rev. 1:5).

We believe that the whole of Scripture was given for the instruction of God’s people for all of life (2 Tim. 3:16-17), and that man must not seek to limit its authority or silence its voice in any way (Rev. 22:14-15,18-19; Matt. 5:17-19). Indeed, striving to obey all that Christ has commanded in all areas of life is an essential application of the Gospel, by which the church is to disciple the nations (Matt. 28:19-20) and by which we show Christ our love (John 14:15).

We believe that God administers His will through the elders and ministers of the church (Heb. 13:17; Acts 20:28) and through the civil magistrate (Rom. 13:1-5). While these two authorities serve in distinct spheres, they alike serve as ministers of Christ who lead all men to submit to the one true God, in accord with what He has revealed of His will in Scripture. The Word of God binds all men, believers and unbelievers, to full obedience.

In our day, men have risen up in the church with teachings that would limit the claims of Christ over the present world, restrict the Word of God from being applied to all of life, and narrow the claim and power of the Gospel. It is to stand against these claims, on the only sure ground of God’s Word and the Confessions of the Reformation, that we have established this website. It is our hope and prayer that God will use the writings and resources posted here to call the church to uphold and proclaim Scripture and our Reformed confessions.

May God our Father, Christ our King, and the ever-present Holy Spirit make this effort to be fruitful for the well-being of the Church and the glory of God!

For Christ’s Kingdom and Rule,

Rev. Doug Barnes
